Effective Date: May 2026
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Publiplex, a media player application that allows users to connect to their own media servers and streaming sources.
By using Publiplex, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you should not use the application.
Description of the Service
Publiplex is a client media player application. The application allows users to access media content from servers, accounts, libraries, playlists, live TV sources, and streaming services configured by the user.
Publiplex does not provide, host, sell, distribute, or guarantee access to any specific movies, series, channels, programs, broadcasts, or media content.
User-Provided Content and Sources
Users are solely responsible for the media servers, streaming sources, credentials, playlists, links, and content they configure or access through Publiplex.
You agree to use Publiplex only with content and services that you own, control, or are legally authorized to access.
No Content Ownership
Publiplex does not claim ownership over any user media, third-party content, server content, metadata, live TV streams, or on-demand media accessed through the application.
All trademarks, logos, titles, images, media metadata, and content remain the property of their respective owners.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Publiplex to:
- Access, stream, distribute, or share content without proper authorization
- Violate copyright, trademark, privacy, or other applicable laws
- Interfere with, disrupt, or abuse third-party servers or services
- Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or misuse the application
- Use the application for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
Accounts and Credentials
Publiplex may allow users to sign in to external media servers or services using credentials provided by the user.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs through your configured accounts or servers.
Third-Party Services
Publiplex may connect to external services configured by the user, including media servers, streaming providers, live TV services, or metadata providers.
Publiplex is not responsible for the availability, legality, quality, accuracy, performance, security, or privacy practices of third-party services.
Availability and Performance
Publiplex is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Playback quality, availability, buffering, channel reliability, and stream compatibility may depend on the user’s network, server configuration, device, and third-party content sources.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free playback, or compatibility with every media format, server, device, or streaming source.
Updates and Changes
Publiplex may be updated, modified, improved, or discontinued at any time. Features may be added, changed, or removed without prior notice.
Continued use of the application after updates constitutes acceptance of the updated version and any revised Terms and Conditions.

You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or modify the application except as permitted by applicable law or applicable open-source licenses.
Open-Source Components
Publiplex may include or be based on open-source software components. Such components are governed by their respective licenses.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights granted to you under applicable open-source licenses.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Publiplex and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the application.
This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, service interruptions, unauthorized access to user-configured servers, playback failures, or issues caused by third-party services.
